British actress Shannon Tarbet has already wowed critics in the UK with a number of notable stage performances and now she looks set to do the same in America on both the big and small screen.

Brighton born Tarbet made her professional stage debut in 2010 playing Delilah Evans in Spur of the Moment, a role which earned her a place on the shortlist for the Evening Standard Award for Best Newcomer that same year. She then went on to cement that success with a number of well received stage performances including Adam Rapp's The Edge of Our Bodies at the Gate Theatre in 2014. Now the 23 year old has caught the eye of producers in the US; in spring 2015 it was announced she’d been cast in True Blood creator Alan Ball’s HBO pilot Virtuoso and a few months later she then won the lead in dark indie comedy Look Away opposite Matthew Broderick and Chloë Sevigny.
